O'Malley - Wendy

How did you get your FiA name?
My FiA name was given due to my love of cats. Although it is often confused as I love Greys Anatomy. O’Malley is the street cat on movie Aristocats.

What brought you to FiA?
I followed FiA from a distance for a while after seeing the group working out on Saturdays morning. I would run by and see the group and somehow got that the name was FiA and then began following on social media. I followed on social media for a while but then initially decided to join run club so I could incorporate running during the week. During the run they were discussing the weekday workouts. I felt so welcome during that run and found out that the time of the daily workout fit right into my schedule so I decided to jump in and join the workout the next morning. No looking back!

Favorite FiA memory?
My favorite FiA memory so far is the morning we had the 10 year Anniversary convergence. It was so fun meeting and working out with FiA’s from other AO’s as well as getting to hear from the “OG’s” about their vision when they started the local group.

Why are we #bettertogether?
We are #bettertogether because we can count on each other. We can count on each other for motivation and encouragement both to get to and through the workout but also through life. Many days I show up because I know my FiA sisters will be there. I feel like I can all on them at any time and they will come together. As an adult it can be hard to find a group of friends that make you feel safe and are judgement free and you find that with FiA.

One week ago, we unexpectedly lost a brother from @f3_knoxville during his VQ. Today 14 PAX completed the workout he planned at Riveter Station and Etta’s Nest.
