💡FiA Spotlight 💡 time!!

💙 How I got my name: I love singing and was in a touring children’s choir when I was young - I’ve sung in Norte Dame cathedral and Carnegie Hall. That plus singing in a lot of church choirs gave me the name Whoopi after Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act.

💙 How I came to FiA: I was walking through Founders one night shortly after moving to the area and saw a group of ladies sitting in a circle. I walked over and asked what they were doing haha. ShopVac was Qing that day and invited me to stay for the COT. I was nervous, but I came back the next week bc everyone was so nice.

💙 My favorite FIA memory was my VQ! It was so much fun and everyone jumped right in. I loved creating the workout and it was so cool that everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. Plus 15 people came - I felt really well loved and encouraged.

💙 It is absolutely wild to me that I would EVER even consider going outside in the rain or snow to workout with maybe only 3 other people. But it truly gives me life! Working out is a fringe benefit for me - I just want to see and check in with my friends. And to hear the “WHOOPI!” when I walk up to the workout fills me up with happy every single time. We laugh and challenge each other, we’re honest in a way that you can only be with other women, and I feel like it matters whether I show up or not. Plus, workouts always seem more accessible when you know we’re #bettertogether. I’ll never be left in the dust, I’ll never feel inadequate.
