Backblast 6/1/20

PAX: Atlas, Proton, Passport, Salty, G.I. Jane, Dr. Cricut

Warm-up: Counting in cadence to 10 for each of the following: high knees, jumping jacks, potato diggers. PAX stretched while Atlas explained the workout.
The Thang: 
Station 1: (Leave mats here) 40 Bicycle crunches/ 30 Plank jacks/ 20 Push ups/ 10 Sit ups/ Bear crawl to Station 2
Station 2: (Leave weights here)  40 Biceps curls/ 30 Reverse Flys/ 20 Tricep Extensions/ 10 Bent Over Rows/ Sprint to Station 3
Station 3: 40 Squats/ 30 Hillbillies/ 20 Windmills/ 10 Lunges/ Bear crawl to Station 4
Station 4: 40 Jumping Jacks/ 30 High Knees/ 20 Skater Lunges/ 10 Inch worms/ Sprint to Station 1
The PAX started at different Stations and worked our way around AMRAP until time was up.
Cool Down: We finished the workout with a little bit of Sally until the speaker died.
The Skinny: I spent months avoiding FiA because it was something new. I didn’t know anyone. I told myself I couldn’t do it. Listening to my husband talk about F3, I thought it was too intense for me. One day he gave me Proton’s number and I agreed to get up on a Saturday morning and meet her there. Once I tried it, I was hooked. Thanks to FiA I have new friends, I am stronger than I’ve ever been, and my life is better because of all of you. Remember this quote from Billy Cox, “Life will only change when you become more committed to your dreams than you are to your comfort zone.” This can be applied to so many things besides FiA. You’re already here, so what are your dreams? Where is the edge of your comfort zone? Do you dare to step out of it?
Announcements: New FiA AO in Jonesborough has a soft launch on Friday, June 5th. Join in at the Jonesborough Library parking lot at 5:30am.  We have a June mileage challenge. Commit to walking/running/rucking/etc.. 30, 50, or 100 miles during the month of June.
